Overkill. When you just keep on killing after everything is already dead. That’s a good way to describe this bat from The Forge. It’s got razorblade stuck in it, barbed wire wrapped around it, the word “Baller” on it cause well…that must add some sort of extra power. The model itself is very nicely detailed even down to the lil barbs on the wire. The textures? They’re good, not the best I’ve ever seen, but still damn good. Just wish the woodgrain on the bat popped a bit more.
I absolutely LOVE the fact it comes with an “on shoulder” version, cause let’s be real..holding weapons on your shoulder is ALWAYS damn cool. That version of the bat is just a prop, the actual combat bat doesn’t have a stance animation. I’m not sure if any of The Forge weapons actually have stance animations which I think is a problem. Another store that makes weapons, Eldritch, has a stance HUD where you can choose between different kinds of poses. That is what every damn blacksmithy should have! The combat animations are hmm..standard..and also weird. There’s a few where you’re ninja flip spinning through the air..doing that with a baseball bat just doesn’t seem to fit very well. I’d rather just have..you know..a baseball swing? It’s the same with AOs, for some reason every single jump in any AO is like a triple flip with two corkscrews. Give us some realistic animations for pity’s sake!
In any case, the bat is a stellar addition to a grungy, rough looking post-apocalyptic outfit. It would be a fine thing to fight zombies with, that’s for sure. You can go pick it up at the We Love Roleplay event. I give it…8/10 seeded watermelon slices, not as easy to eat as seedless, but still delicious.

Whaaaat? What are those? Boobs!? Yes, they are. I’m not always a gigantic muscular burly manly man, though I enjoy it very much. It’s always nice to switch it up from time to time. Most likely this look will be a RP character, but not sure on the details yet.
Now, there’s a lot to talk about with this outfit. ADN Designs made the top and the lil garter thingies. A store that has a bunch of different outfits for damn cheap. Well worth it if you’re looking for an outfit that comes with every applier imaginable. I wouldn’t say the quality is the greatest thing ever, but for the price it’s worth checking out.
The sword..phew..I love it. It’s from Eldritch and it came in a pack of weapons. Most of the pack is axes, but this sword is what stood out to me. Super simple, good quality, and clean. The pack comes with huds for two handed and one handed animations that you can use along with your AO. Amazing idea that more places should do! Sometimes the stance anims that come with certain weapons are…not very good. Looking for a quality, simple sword that you can hold like a badass? Look no further.
Elendil. A name that makes Sauron quake in his little mail boots. A truly legendary weapon from a legendary tale that set the standard for all of fantasy. Did MAC Design make a weapon that lives up to that epic blade that rallied all of Middle Earth?
The sword comes in five different options for the pommel/guard metal. Gold, steel, silver, bronze, and “vampire” which is red. The other ones have gold detailing on the holes of the pommel and guard which I am not very fond of. On the gold version it looks fine, but I wish for the others there was an option to change it. It’s a minor detail so I can’t complain too much. The “vampire” version has white detailing which looks pretty damn cool with the vicious blood red.
The model is very well done, though I wish the texturing on the blade was more detailed. On many sky settings it just looks bright white like a plastic playtoy or something. Now, here’s the BIGGEST problem with this weapon. There is no sheathed version at all. There are Draw and Sheath gestures that come with it, oh yes! But, when you draw it out you kinda just…pull it out of thin air. There’s only one place where you could store a weapon without a sheath..or well..two if you’re a female. I don’t think Aragorn would approve of such a thing.
The standing animation is decent. I definitely approve of resting a big honkin’ sword across your shoulders like a boss. It comes with running, jumping, and walking animations too which is neat. Granted the walking animation does sort of look like you have to go to the bathroom real bad. The advertisement for the weapon says it has “Realistic Animations.” it doesn’t. The combat animations are super quick like you’re pretty much teleporting in the direction you attack in while slashing so fast you can barely tell what you’re arms are doing. If you’re an anime character I suppose this is realistic, but not even Legolas was THAT fast!
To sum it up, it’s a nice looking weapon with a major problem in having no sheathed version. For that alone I’d have to give it 5/10 lukewarm instant noodles. Edible, but not as delicious as it could be.
